Capturing beautiful moments through the lens.

Evil? Cunning? Demonic? Or, just misunderstood? Featured

Cats get a bad rep most of the time, I’m sure…. Or, perhaps not. After all, we can’t read their minds or understand their intentions. But, maybe their overall purpose is just to be the opposite of dogs. Imagine if we only had dogs to choose from. So many people would be fine with that but cat lovers tend to want something different from their pets: cleanliness (no grooming) and not needing walks comes to mind! Perfect for apartment dwellers!

However, they are the perfect predator, so angelic is almost never a word applied to cats. So, if dogs are angelic and sweet mostly, then I think we know what the opposite of that is. So, maybe we just need to decide that not being a dog is enough. We love our pets regardless of their demeanor. And, we all tend to impart ourselves into them when we describe how wonderful they are. So, maybe we can decide that cats are whatever we want them to be and they are cool with that so long as the food gets put in the bowl!

A cat’s eye view of their world does remind us that cats are beautiful unless of course we are their prey. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! We cat lovers can’t stop gushing over how beautiful they are but to their prey they are the most terrifying thing imaginable! Looking at this photograph I took of my cat, I’m afraid they might be more accurate!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The Captivating colors of San Francisco

IMG_8545San Francisco proved to be much more than expected! Every square inch was a photographer’s dream! The colors, the atmosphere, the vibrancy, the excitement, and all of this bordering the beautiful bay! I highly recommend visiting if you have not had the fortune to discover it yourself.

A Little D.C. for the Palm of your Hand.

D.C. Sphere-2-2

Washington, D.C., so much history, so much information and photos waiting to happen. American history everywhere, surrounded by the echoed footsteps of those who had come before. Embattled and weary, triumphant and exuberant. It’s all there. The thought of all that transpired was enough to humble and overwhelm.  I just had to purchase a little piece of history to remind me of my history there, to bring home as a constant reminder, a little world of its own.

Rome, old world charm.

Rome, the eternal city.  The city that captivates and allures. For a photographer, it is a bountiful candy store. Eyed statues everywhere, just look over your shoulder. Look up, look down, they are watching. You feel the span of the ages as you traverse it’s myriad of ancient wonders. This was shot just shy of Trevi Fountain, a side view that is worthy of its own capture.
